Global unlocks

The Frontier grows. A countdown on the map shows when and where it opens next.

The map is a living world. The Next Frontier card on the map counts down to the next expansion and names the place that opens. Unlocks happen at 13:00 UTC, the same moment epochs settle: evening in East Asia, morning in the Americas, afternoon in Europe.

When the countdown reaches zero, the card turns to Open and the new frontier is announced. Its territories are added to the game with their own Governors, paid from the same National Treasury.
